Reid - Move is a big honour
West Brom new-boy Reuben Reid has spoken of his delight at penning a two-year deal with the Championship promotion hopefuls.
The Bristol-born forward had a 21st birthday to remember after securing a switch from League Two Rotherham last week and he admits it was an easy decision to move to The Hawthorns as soon as soon he heard of Albion`s interest.
"It`s a big honour to join a club of such stature so I`m really pleased," he told AlbionPlayer.
"I know there was definitely an offer from Blackpool and I did have the chance to, well not go and talk to them, but it could have came about that way. But as soon as I heard the interest from West Brom it made my mind up.
"Playing football you know West Brom are a massive club and they were in the Premier League last year. When you get someone of Robby (Di Matteo) or Eddie`s (Newton) calibre in the game it`s always flattering knowing they want you and effectively got you here, I`m really pleased.
"Having those two guys say they rate you as a footballer and that they expect big things from you sold the club massively to me, I didn`t really have a hard choice to make."
