Jones rules out Baggies switch
Cardiff manager Dave Jones has ruled himself out of the running to become the new manager at West Brom.
The 52-year-old was one of the frontrunners to replace Tony Mowbray at The Hawthorns but he has stressed his commitment to Cardiff.
"Everybody talks about moving, but the only moving we're doing is into the new stadium and we're genuinely looking forward to it," Jones told Sky Sports News.
"We start back this week so it's business as normal once Monday is out of the way for me, I can get back to being a manager.
"Every manager has got to say you never say never, but on the West Brom job you can say no."
The Baggies are believed to preparing an official approach for Preston manager Alan Irvine on Monday, with a view to appointing him in charge by the middle of this week. The North End boss has a clause in his contract at Deepdale that allows him to talk to other interested parties should he wish to.
