Pitch invasion could cost Saints
Saints, who are desperately searching for a buyer amid fears the club will go bust within weeks, are to appeal the 10-point penalty handed down by the Football League after their holding company went into administration.[LNB]But the Football Association are now waiting on the report of referee Mike Jones after a large section of Saints fans spilled onto the pitch and confronted the travelling supporters, with a flare and plastic bottles being thrown.[LNB]Joint-administrator Mark Fry said: "Our main concern at the moment has to be the appeal.[LNB]"As far as the pitch invasion is concerned, I am not condoning it but after the announcement on Thursday of the points deduction, emotions were bound to be running high.[LNB]"I just hope they don't punish us for that as well because the club has to find a buyer and any further threat of punishment will not help us to do that."[LNB][LNB]
