Leigh Bromby is a big powerful defender who signed for Leeds United at the end of the summer 2009 transfer window. A versatile defender who is comfortable both at full back and in the centre of defence, he is known as a long-throw specialist. He produced some effective displays at centre back in 2009-10, but was out of the team for much of 2010-11, returning in the second half of the season when he again proved to be a key player at the back. Leigh began his career with Sheffield Wednesday and also enjoyed spells with Sheffield United and Watford before arriving at Elland Road.
