Josh Thompson is a central defender for Celtic who spent the 2010-11 season on loan with League Two club Rochdale. However, he was mostly on the bench during his stay at Spotland, starting in 11 of the club?s League One fixtures. Josh began his career as a scholar with Stockport County, signing a professional contract in May 2009. Three months later Tony Mowbray took him to Parkhead and he went on to make his debut for the SPL club as a substitute in January 2010. A big, powerful defender he is particularly effective in the air.
