Jake Caskey is a highly promising midfield player who became Brighton & Hove Albion?s youngest-ever Football League player when he was given his debut in the final game of the 2009-10 season and less than a fortnight after his 16th birthday. Jake is a left-footed, creative player. He became a scholar with Brighton in the summer of 2010 and was quickly elevated to the Seagulls' development squad. Jake appeared regularly in the reserves and was on the first-team bench a couple of times in the opening month of the season. His only match action for the senior team came when he was introduced as a substitute for the final half hour of the FA Cup fifth round tie at Stoke City. Jake was capped twice by England at U16 level and then appeared regularly for the national U17 team during 2010-11 winning a further 12 caps. He was in the team that reached the UEFA U17 semi-finals and was later included in the squad which travelled to Mexico for the FIFA U17 World Cup finals.
