Player Details
David Wright is a versatile and reliable performer for Crystal Palace, who played in both defence and midfield during 2010-11. Beginning the season in defence, and filling in at left back as well as playing in his usual spot on the right of the back four, the new signing from Ipswich was initially in and out of the starting line-up. However, with Palace looking for a combative central midfielder, David was drafted into this slot with great success. From January onwards he was almost ever present in the line-up, starring alongside Kagisho Dikgacoi, the pair shielding the defence in a series of effective performances.
