Player Details

A no-nonsense, vastly experienced and versatile full back with a calm but professional manner both on and off the field, Andy Griffin initially joined Reading on loan from Stoke City in January 2010. His arrival coincided with the turn around of the relegation-threatened Royals? form and he signed a permanent deal at Madejski Stadium the following summer. A former FA Cup finalist with Newcastle United, Andy also plied his trade at Portsmouth and Derby County before earning the captaincy for a period at Stoke, a club he spent his apprenticeship with as a youngster.
