West Ham Considering Move for Everton Defender Jonjoe Kenny

West Ham boss David Moyes is interested in signing Everton right back Jonjoe Kenny as he looks to strengthen his options in defence following the departures of Pablo Zabaleta and Jeremy Ngakia.

Ryan Fredericks is now the Hammers' only first team option at right back, with Moyes considering an approach for Kenny to add more depth to that area. The Liverpool-born defender was a product of Everton's academy and broke into the first team in 2017.

He joined Bundesliga side Schalke on loan at the start of the last campaign in search of regular football, making 31 appearances for David Wagner's side before returning to Goodison Park at the end of the season.

According to the Telegraph, Kenny isn't the only full back on Moyes' wishlist, as he is also considering a move for QPR's Ryan Manning.

The Irishman was Mark Warburton's first choice left back for most of last season and had an impressive campaign, scoring four goals and making seven assists as the Rs finished mid-table in the Championship.

A move for Manning is seen as quite low-risk from West Ham's perspective, as he may have a cheaper asking price with just one year left on his current deal.

Their interest in the 24-year-old comes as Moyes looks to provide more competition for Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku.

It would follow a trend of the Hammers poaching stars from the Championship, with Jarrod Bowen, Fredericks and Jordan Hugill just a few of the players who have made the step up in recent seasons - with varying levels of success.

In line with this, the Telegraph article also states that they are also keen admirers of QPR's Eberechi Eze, who has had an excellent campaign with 14 goals and eight assists in 46 Championship appearances.
