28 August 2021 13:45

Spurs welcome Watford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, looking to enter the international break with three wins from three Premier League games.

Nuno Espirito Santo has enjoyed a solid start to life in north London, leading them to victories over Manchester City and former side Wolves.

Tottenham secured their place in the group stage of the Europa Conference League on Thursday night, but switch their attentions back to the Premier League for the visit of Xisco Munoz's Hornets.

Watford beat a much-fancied Aston Villa side on the opening day before losing at Brighton last week, but have made a good account for themselves so far following promotion from the Championship.

Here's 90min's preview of the game.

The two clubs have met a nice round 50 times in their histories to date, with Spurs 31 wins to Watford's eight.

In Watford's last Premier League campaign, they managed to pick up two huge draws with Spurs. A 1-1 stalemate on the road was followed by a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road.

Spurs vs Watford prediction

Tottenham gave up possession pretty easily in their opening two Premier League games, and this will be a chance for fans to get an idea of how Nuno wants Spurs to play when they're the protagonists.

They looked dangerous against Pacos on Thursday, and with Kane back in the fold, you'd fancy Spurs to put Watford away pretty comfortably on Sunday.

Prediction: Spurs 2-0 Watford
