The worst home records in Premier League history

04 January 2021 00:00

Brighton went 14 long years without a home until the Amex Stadium was opened in 2011. But, this season, the Seagulls have struggled to get results on their own turf.

Nine games into 2020/21, Brighton are winless at home and have only five points to show for themselves at the Amex. Sheffield United, who are the worst team in Premier League history at this stage of a season, are the only other club that is yet to win a single home game.

As things stand, Brighton have taken 0.55 points per game at home, while Sheffield United have averaged just 0.13 points at home so far. West Brom have at least won a game at home this season, although they too are averaging 0.55 points per game on their own pitch.

18. Clubs with 19 points at home

The following 14 clubs all recorded 19 points at home during the stated season. In a 38-game season, that equates to an average of one point per game at home, but Swindon in 1993/94 actually played 21 home games because the Premier League had 22 clubs prior until 1995.
