Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has named the two best players he lined up alongside in his illustrious Red Devils career.

The Welsh wing-wizard spent the entirety of his 23-year senior career at Old Trafford, racking up a staggering 13 Premier League titles, as well as helping his side to two Champions League triumphs.

While he has often been remembered for his longevity, Giggs was a gifted player too, bursting onto the scene as a rampaging winger.

Although the former Wales international is often recognised as one of football's greatest, he himself has recently revealed the two most talented players he played with.

Firstly, he told Manchester United's social media (as quoted by the Mirror): "The best player I played with is Cristiano Ronaldo. Obviously he was only there for a short space of time and he was brilliant for United and then went on to do even better elsewhere."

The Portuguese icon spent six years in Manchester, becoming the figurehead as United won three successive league titles between 2006-2009, as well as European success, before leaving for Real Madrid.

While his stay was short, that famed attack of Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez is often seen as one of the club's most devastating attacking lineups ever, before Tevez followed Ronaldo out the door in 2009.

As for his second choice, Giggs picked fellow icon Paul Scholes, explaining that: "Scholesy is the best player I’ve played with at United. You’ve all seen it in training - you couldn’t get near him. His brain was just quicker than everyone else, his range of passing, nasty."

Like Giggs, the 'nasty' Scholes was a one-club man - and part of the celebrated 'Class of 92' - spending his entire career with United before bowing out in 2013, after a brief comeback from retirement.
