The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent start to the season for the Baggies, netting four times and creating a further four goals in his 13 appearances in the Championship so far. He has been a constant thorn in the sides of defences in the division, causing problems with his pace and agility and is a crucial factor in why West Brom are currently top of the league.
While there is a clause in Diangana’s contract that allows West Ham to recall him to the London Stadium in the New Year, this is something Pellegrini has said he is not looking to do as he wants the youngster to keep getting regular first team football.
As quoted by West Ham's official website, Pellegrini said: “I think that Grady Diangana is doing what we wanted for him, the same as Josh Cullen, players that without any doubt will be a big part of West Ham in the future.
“I trust a lot in Grady, and I thought that it was better for him to go and play 40 games this year, and be absolutely ready for next season, than play here just some of the games.
“I think that we must continue supporting him, we must continue being happy with his performances, and he must finish his season where he is.”
This news will be well received by those at the Hawthorns, as there was a belief that the English youngster would be recalled by the Hammers in January to boost their attacking options after they have struggled in recent games, with Felipe Anderson failing to fire this term.
For now, though, Diangana is set to stay in the midlands and the speculation surrounding this matter can be put to bed.
