It's been a while since the Chelsea squad was bursting with the kind of exciting talent that Frank Lampard has managed to assemble this year.

After bringing through youngsters like Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham in his first season in charge, the boss chose to flex his muscles during the summer by bringing in some of the world's most exciting talent. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy have all joined the mix.

Thanks to Three, Chelsea's official shirt sponsor, 90min were given the chance to sit down with some of the Blues' stellar talents of years gone by, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Tore Andre Flo & Gustavo Poyet, and the trio made no secret of their excitement towards the current squad.

When asked to name the current Chelsea stars that they love watching most, the trio almost immediately break out in a chorus: "[Timo] Werner".

"But I like to see Werner playing through the middle," Hasselbaink says. "Not left or right, but middle. He's a little bit like me because he doesn't like to play with his back to goal."

Flo adds: "But if you've got [Christian] Pulisic playing next to him, then you've got two guys with a lot of pace."

For ex-Uruguay midfielder Poyet, however, his focus is on the defensive side of things, where fellow South American Thiago Silva has been strutting his stuff since joining for free from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.

"I like Thiago Silva so much," Poyet confesses. "I've liked him all my life, and I want to see how he's going to lead."

The trio are in agreement when it comes to current stars they would like to play alongside, but when asked to name their three dream team-mates of all time, Hasselbaink is on his own.

"I admire [Lionel] Messi, but I wouldn't want to play with him because I wouldn't touch the ball!" he jokes.

Pele, Johan Cruyff and Marco van Basten are Dutchman Hasselbaink's preferred three, but for Flo and Poyet, there's only one man in their sights - "Diego. Armando. Maradona."
