Former Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi is reportedly a target for Crystal Palace as the Eagles look to replace Patrick van Aanholt next summer.

The Dutchman's deal at Selhurst Park expires at the end of the season, with Palace expected to prioritise finding a replacement in the coming months.

According to the Daily Mail, Marseille left-back Jordan Amavi is on the Eagles' radar and is being tracked by the south London club.

Amavi made 10 appearances in the Premier League and 34 in the Championship during his two-year stay at Aston Villa, before an initial loan move to Marseille in 2017. The French side made the move permanent for a fee of £9m in the summer of 2018.

Since joining the Ligue 1 side, Amavi has picked up game time in Europe, playing in both the Europa League and this season's Champions League. His experience would make the left-back a strong addition to the Palace dressing room.

The defender admitted during the summer that he would be open to a Premier League return, with the 26-year-old's current deal at Marseille set to expire at the end of the season. Speaking to L'Equipe, he said: "England is the championship that I prefer. Afterwards, we don't know what tomorrow will be like. For now, I'm here, I'm wearing the OM jersey."

Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso is also understood to be a target for Crystal Palace. The 29-year-old hasn't featured for the Blues since their 3-0 first-half display against West Brom in September, and is out of favour at Stamford Bridge after clashing with boss Frank Lampard.

The Blues side spent around £50m on Ben Chilwell during the summer, and the Englishman's impressive start to life at the club has meant Alonso has moved further down the pecking order.

The Spaniard may have to move away from the club in order to get playing time, and with Palace interested, he may not have to move very far.
