Crystal Palace will be hoping to make amends for their frustrating goalless draw against Leeds on Monday night when they travel down to the south coast to take on Southampton this weekend.

Patrick Vieira is keen for his side's season not to fizzle out following their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea recently, and beating fellow mid-table plodders would be a good start.

Here is the starting XI he seems most likely to go with...

Vicente Guaita (GK) - 35-year-old Guaita has looked shaky at times this season. Palace could be tempted to look for a replacement in the summer.

Nathaniel Clyne (RB) - Has barely put a foot wrong since his re-emergence as a starter this season. Facing off against one of his former clubs here.

Joachim Andersen (CB) - His distribution has seriously caught the eye this season. Barely missed a game too.

Marc Guehi (CB) - What a signing he's proved to be. Has risen to the challenge of regular Premier League football this season.

Joel Ward (LB) - Ward is actually pretty effective going forward and his recent portrayal of a fruit and veg salesman proves he can act too.

Conor Gallagher (CM) - Could be playing his final few games for Palace over the next three weeks, although the Eagles will be desperate to secure his signature permanently.

Chiekhou Kouyate (CM) - Taken out of the team last time out but his form since the AFCON means he deserves a recall.

James McArthur (CM) - Such a well-rounded midfielder. Reminded Vieira of his talent against Leeds.

Michael Olise (RW) - Came on as a sub in Palace's last game and did more than starting right-winger Jordan Ayew had managed all game.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (ST) - Spurned a string of good chances on Monday and will desperate to make up for that here.

Wilfried Zaha (LW) - Was a constant source of irritation against Leeds but sometimes let his frustration boil over.
