Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has described the 'pleasure' he feels at being able to watch Christian Eriksen play football again and is looking forward to facing his Brentford side on Saturday.
While manager of Inter, Conte signed Eriksen from Spurs in January 2020 and the duo went on to win the 2021/22 Serie A title together - the Nerazzurri's first Scudetto in over a decade.
Eriksen's Inter career was curtailed when he was fitted with an ICD following his cardiac arrest in June 2021, with Serie A rules prohibiting players from competing with such a device.
The Dane joined Brentford on a free transfer in January and has won all five of the games he has started for the Bees, propelling them away from a relegation battle and now in with a decent shout of a top-half finish in their maiden Premier League season.
Ahead of Tottenham's trip to west London on Saturday, Conte revealed his delight to see Eriksen back playing professional football again.

"I'm very happy to see him play football again," the Italian said. "In June it was terrible, those images were terrible for everybody. We suffered a lot for him and his family.
"To see him for a game will be a pleasure for me. It's incredible because not long ago happened what happened.
"To see him playing again makes me very happy because I know football is life. To have this opportunity is great for him and his family because now they come back to have a normal life."
90min understands that Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs looking to sign Eriksen this summer, with his Brentford deal up at the end of the season. The Bees remain optimistic that the 30-year-old will continue his stay with the club, however.
