Brentford team news

Ethan Pinnock had heaved his long throw into the box, leading to Christian Norgaard's opener, before a knock forced him off in the first half against Watford last weekend.

Sergi Canos isn't expected to return from a hamstring injury until next month while Mathias Jorgensen is also a doubt with a muscular issue.

Thomas Frank was hopeful his namesake Frank Onyeka will be able to return to action before the end of the season, but Saturday may well come too soon for the midfielder.

Tottenham team news

Matt Doherty, a wing-back Antonio Conte described as "an important player for us", is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Fellow defender Japhet Tanganga is also suffering from a problem in the same area and has been ruled out until after the summer following surgery.

Oliver Skipp hasn't appeared in the Premier League since January as he nurses a groin injury that hasn't stopped him from signing a contract extension.

Brentford vs Tottenham score prediction

Brentford produced one of their most toothless displays of the season in their 2-0 defeat away to Tottenham in December.

However, in the subsequent months, the likes of Wolves, Burnley and Brighton have demonstrated how this Spurs side can grow frustrated playing against teams that sit deep and deny the likes of Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski space to run into and onto Harry Kane's passes.

Of course, knowing what has stymied Spurs in the past is a very different proposition to actually executing the game plan. After a full week of Conte back in training with blood still boiling from defeat, Kane and co may have too much for Brentford - though it surely won't be as straightforward as the reverse fixture.

Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Tottenham
