22-year-old is at Euro 2024 with the NetherlandsMaatsen spent second half of last season at DortmundAston Villa have announced the signing of left-back Ian Maatsen from Premier League rivals Chelsea for a reported £37.5m. The Netherlands international was part of the Borussia Dortmund team beaten by Real Madrid in last season’s Champions League final during a season-long loan move from Stamford Bridge.Maatsen, who is currently with his country at Euro 2024 in Germany, becomes Unai Emery’s second summer signing following the arrival of forward Lewis Dobbin from Everton.
