McCall: Not much between the sides

Two late goals from Gary Roberts and Drewe Broughton edged out City's patched-up team but McCall took heart from the performance.

"The manner in which we lost the game was hugely disappointing but I thought the second-half performance was excellent," said McCall.

"I thought we showed great endeavour and some good play and created chances. On another day we could have won the game.

"We have our most dangerous player, Omar Daley, out of action and two of our centre-halves, Zesh Rehman and Steve Williams, out injured and I thought we should have got something out of the game.

"Rotherham should be among the top three in this division with the players they have got, whereas realistically we want to be in the play-off places and there wasn't a lot between the sides."
