The new Shevchenko

Andriy Yarmolenko had a slow start to his football career where he struggled as a teen to cope with the physical demands of training and pressures as a footballer.

He signed a 5 year contract with Dynamo Kyiv in 2006 and it took him the best part of three years till he was a regular for the Ukrainian giants.

In the 2010-11 season he scored and impressive 11 league goals in 26 appearances. Dynamo Kyiv just missed out on the title this season and Yarmolenko chipped in with 12 league goals in 20 appearances.

He has the ability to play on the left as well as up front and his mixture of pace, strength and close control make him a real threat for defences.

Napoli had a £10 million bid rejected last summer which shows how much he is valued at Kyiv.

Many fans across England may not have heard of Yarmolenko but he may cause a series of problems for our defence on June 19th which could be a huge game for England.
