We continue our countdown to South Africa, as Robbie Blakeley casts an eye upon South African midfielder Teko Modise.

Name: Teko Modise
Age: 27
Country: South Africa
Club: Orlando Pirates
International Caps: 40
International Goals: 9

The midfield maestro has been voted Mvela Golden League Player of the Season and PSL Footballer of the Year in his distinguished career to date.

Modise has been a regular in the Bafana Bafana starting XI since 2007, and possesses the rare ability to dictate a game at his own pace, as well as creating the crucial flashes of individual brilliance that can turn a game on its head.

He is the player most South Africa fans will be putting their faith in to see the World Cup hosts through to the first knock out stage.

In the last year he has generated interest from Italian giants AC Milan and Internazionale, and this summer's tournament offers Modise a perfect opportunity to put himself firmly in the shop window.
