Former Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini has put Premier League clubs on high alert after suggesting his next job is likely to be in England.

The 44-year-old former Italy striker was cast aside by Inter in May 2008 despite leading them to back-to-back Serie A titles.

Mancini has been out of management since being replaced in the San Siro hot-seat by Jose Mourinho.

His name has been linked with several Premier League clubs during that period, with Portsmouth, Sunderland and Hull City all reported to be possible destinations.

But after finally reaching a financial agreement with Inter over his exit, the former Leicester City forward has set his sights on England.

"I've annulled my deal with Inter because I want to come back coaching," he revealed.

"Where? I'd prefer the Premiership. I've not coached in more than a year and in this period I've had about three or four proposals.

"But it's not true that I'm not coaching because I want too much money.

"Money for me has never been the most important thing, either as a player or as a coach."
