Stranraer 3-0 Clyde: Report

07 May 2011 20:19
Malcolm on the mark for Stranraer Craig Malcolm scored his 15th league goal of the season in a 3-0 win which was not enough for Stranraer to clinch the final play-off spot. Stranraer went into the game knowing that if Queens Park slipped up against Montrose they would be in the play-offs. And they started off brightly as Malcolm neatly finished off a slick move by placing the ball into the bottom corner. Stranraer were dominating and their pressure paid off as Steven Noble grabbed a second. Neat work from Michael Moore down the left led to the ball falling to Noble and his strike flew into the bottom right-hand corner from 20 yards. Stuart McColm rounded off the scoring as his left-footed strike found the top-right of the goal from the edge of the area.
