Transfer Window Wish-list F to J

20 July 2010 13:55
Football.co.uk's transfer window focus continues with a look at more of the big names who could be on the move this summer.

F - Cesc Fabregas

The longest running transfer saga of the summer continues, with Cesc Fabregas' on-off move to Barcelona taking a new twist with every passing day. On paper it's simple - Barca want him and Cesc wants to go, but Arsene Wenger is determined to hold onto his talisman, having rejected a bid believed to be in the region of £30 million prior to the World Cup. The former Barca youth player will definitely return to his former club one day, but whether it's this summer remains to be seen.

Possible fee - £50 million

G - Steven Gerrard

After a dismal season with Liverpool and an even worse World Cup with England, there have been rumours aplenty that Stevie G fancies a fresh start away from his boyhood club. Jose Mourinho, who tried to sign Gerrard while at Chelsea, is still a huge admirer of the midfielder and has been heavily linked with a big money bid to take him to Real Madrid.

Possible fee - £30m

H - Tal Ben Haim

Released on a free by crisis club Portsmouth in May, Ben Haim is one of a number of free agents currently on the market. The former Bolton and Chelsea man has been strongly linked with a switch to West Ham, a move which would see him reunited with former boss Avram Grant. His wage demands of almost £40,000 a week could prove to be a stumbling block in any potential deal.

I - Stephen Ireland

Despite being one of the most exciting young talents in the entire Premier League, Manchester City's Stephen Ireland has found his first-team opportunities severely limited in recent times. With midfielders Yaya Toure and David Silva already recruited this summer, and Roberto Mancini's spending looking like continuing, Ireland's possible availability has apparently alerted a number of clubs including Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland.

Possible fee - £10m

J - Phil Jagielka

After missing most of last season through injury, Everton's Phil Jagielka made a fine return to first team action in March of this year. Although he's still aiming to recapture his impressive form of 2008-09, Jags has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with Arsene Wenger hoping to lure the England international to the Emirates stadium.

Possible fee - £20m
