Nottingham Forest's bid to land Huddersfield Town duo Lewis O'Brien and Harry Toffolo from Huddersfield Town has stalled.
The deal for the pair, was set to be worth in excess of £10m and was close to being finalised on Monday and the two players were due for medicals ahead of moving to The City Ground.
O'Brien was one of the Championships' stand-out performers over the past two seasons and a host of clubs showed an interest in the 23-year-old central midfielder - and as it stands he will remain with Town.
He due to be followed through the door by 26-year-old left-back Toffolo, who managed an impressive six goals and seven assists for the Terriers last season, but again he is now staying put in West Yorkshire.
Forest have to this point have enjoyed a hugely busy summer, having already added Taiwo Awoniyi, Neco Williams, Moussa Niakhate, Giulian Biancone, Omar Richards, Wayne Hennessey and Dean Henderson to the ranks ahead of their long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Costa Rican youngster Brandon Aguilera has also joined from Alajuelense on a four-year deal but will spend the next six months back in his homeland on loan with Guanacasteca.
Once the deals for O'Brien and Toffolo are confirmed, it will take Forest's summer spending to over £70m.
