The 2019/20 campaign has been a tale of two halves for Manchester United. They were down in 14th and getting thumped by Watford in 2019, but a major upturn in form in 2020 has left forward Marcus Rashford feeling excited about the future.

Bruno Fernandes' arrival in January appears to have been the catalyst for an incredible run of form for United, who are unbeaten in their last nine games and have been one of the Premier League's most exciting sides across that period.

Since football's return, United have netted 11 goals in just three games, with Rashford combining with Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood to steer the Red Devils up to fifth in the league., and Rashford told PA (via BT Sport) after Saturday's 5-2 win over Bournemouth that it's a good time to be a United player.

“It’s definitely exciting,” Rashford said. “You know, I enjoy playing with those two players.

“I just think there’s a massive flood of positivity right now and momentum. For us, we want to keep that going.

"Like today, all three of us scored, Mason scored two. That’s the type of momentum we want to keep going. That’s it, really.

Rashford has been electric since football's return

“(Greenwood) has done very well for the whole season. It’s not just these bits he’s been scoring goals.
He’s been working hard for the team and doing the dirty work, you know the unseen work. He does it so he deserves all the credit that he gets.”

When pressed on Greenwood, whose double against Bournemouth took his tally to 15 goals in all competitions this year, Rashford admitted that he has always been a huge fan of the 18-year-old.

“He’s a fantastic player,” Rashford said. “I’ve watched him before he got to the first team. It was never a matter of if was going to play with us, it was just when. When can we get him involved?

Mason Greenwood netted his 14th & 15th goals of the season against Bournemouth

"Ole has done a terrific job with him. First of all, he put him in the squad and brought him on against PSG and that for a player, as a first step, it’s huge and it shows that the manager had confidence in him.

“You’ve got no reason not to have confidence in a player like Mason. But, for me, I just tell him to keep doing what he’s doing because what he does is score goals, so he doesn’t need to do anything else."
