Bournemouth have accepted an £18.5m bid for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United, as the Blades aim to find a replacement for Dean Henderson ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Henderson spent two years on loan at Sheffield United, helping Chris Wilder's side to promotion from the Championship, followed by a strong ninth place finish in their first season back in the Premier League.
However, his future is currently in limbo. The 23-year-old backed by many to rival David de Gea for a starting spot at parent club Manchester United, while a loan move abroad has been mentioned in recent weeks.
Sheffield United have been targeting Bournemouth's Ramsdale as Henderson's successor, and had a £12m bid turned down in early August. Now, according to Sky Sports journalist Mark McAdam, the Cherries have 'reluctantly' accepted a new £18.5m from the Blades.
Ramsdale enjoyed a breakthrough season with Bournemouth during the 2019/20 campaign, establishing himself as the Cherries' number one and starting 37 of the club's 38 top flight fixtures. The 22-year-old was named Bournemouth's supporters' player of the season after a selection of fine displays - but he could not prevent the south coast side suffering the drop.
Bournemouth were relegated on the final day of the season, bringing an end to their five-year top flight stay. Long-term manager Eddie Howe announced he was departing the club following their relegation, and his number two Jason Tindall has since taken the reins.
Ramsdale is a graduate from the Sheffield United youth system, but left the club in 2017 without having made a league appearance.
The Blades were still in the third tier at the time, and Ramsdale was snapped up by Premier League outfit Bournemouth for £1m.

He spent the first half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Chesterfield, but enjoyed a major career breakthrough after joining Wimbledon on loan in January 2019 - helping guide the club to an unlikely survival and being named their Young Player of the Season.
