Nevland committed to Fulham

Erik Nevland has expressed his desire to stay at Fulham after being linked with a return to former club Viking. The Norwegian has had few opportunities to impress since arriving at Craven Cottage in January 2008. Fulham manager Roy Hodgson recently admitted that he would like to sort out the future of Nevland, whose contract expires at the end of next season. And the 31-year-old also maintains that he is committed to at least honouring the agreement. "I have nothing new to say," Nevland told Stavanger Aftenblad. "I have a contract with Fulham that ends after next season. They don't want me to leave, and I want to stay here." Reports in the Norwegian press had claimed that Hodgson recently held talks with Viking sporting director Egil Ostenstad about a possible transfer. However, Ostenstad refused to respond to the story, saying: "I have no comments on this."
