Duo set to learn fate

Derby boss Nigel Clough will make a decision on trialists Conor Doyle and Amari Morgan-Smith following the pre-season friendly at Chesterfield. American forward Doyle has particularly impressed Clough. The 18-year-old has featured in the warm-up games against Burton, Southend and Bournemouth. Morgan-Smith, a 22-year-old trialist from Ilkeston Town, has also been with the Rams during their two-match tour of the south this week. Derby continue their preparations at the new b2net Stadium on Saturday and Clough said: "We have got to make a decision on Amari this weekend and Conor probably the same time, if not early next week. They have both done very well. They have been in with the first team and not looked out of place. "Compared to other 18-year-old`s we have got at the club, Conor is probably ahead of the majority of them. "We are interested in him because we do have this gap between the first team and the young lads coming through and people like him would fit nicely into that."
