Tony Mowbray insists that West Brom will not have to sell their best players if they get relegated from the Premier League.
The Baggies are six points adrift of safety with just three matches remaining and looking certain for an immediate return to the Championship.
Mowbray wants to keep his side together next season and feels his players owe it to the club to stay.
He said: "We'll be strong in the Championship next year if we go down, as opposed to others who have over-gambled in the Premier League, gone down and their money is gone. Those clubs keep plummeting but we have no need to sell players. We are stable.
"If we do go down and come back then we'll be stronger."
