Kapo heading for exit

Wigan midfielder Olivier Kapo has revealed that he expects to leave the club at the end of the season. Kapo joined the Latics last summer, but despite making the line-up for the season opener with West Ham, the former Juventus man has since fallen out of favour at the JJB.As a result, Kapo is now looking to move on in the summer with France his preferred destination if a top English club do not come in for him."Will I leave the club at the end of the season? Yes, that is for sure. However, I remain focused on the club until then," the 29-year-old told Aujourd'hui Sport."I don't know why I play so rarely. I am fine mentally and physically. It is just a problem between the coach and myself."I want to bounce back, show that I am not a has-been. I have definitely not given up in England, but I am also keen to go back to France. It will all depend on the opportunities."Bruce tensionKapo's failure to make an impact at the club comes as something of a surprise, considering that he was one of several players whom manager Steve Bruce brought to Wigan when he made the switch from Birmingham.Of those players, only Wilson Palacios has impressed this season, while Kapo and Daniel de Ridder have found themselves marginalised figures - much to Kapo's disappointment."Maybe I made a mistake by following him (Steve Bruce)," he added."I have never been at ease at Wigan, since the very first day. I have been disappointed by the team's performances. When you are used to playing every weekend, it is difficult to suddenly be left out."I never had any talks with Steve Bruce. Maybe I am suffering from a bad image. The press has said a lot of unfair things about me."Sometimes I feel like I'm a 10-year-old kid asking to play."
