Swansea are set to open contract talks with highly-rated midfielder Darren Pratley.
The moves comes following reports linking Championship rivals Nottingham Forest with a bid for the 25-year-old.
City chairman Hew Jenkins denied the club had received an offer from Forest and assured supporters that every effort will be made to keep Swansea`s top players at the Liberty Stadium.
"Now that our new manager (Brendan Rodgers) is in place, we will be looking to start discussions with Darren Pratley over a new contract," Jenkins told the club`s official website. "I had a private conversation with Nottingham Forest a few weeks ago which, as we agreed, will stay private.
"I assume that today`s story is an attempt by agents to put pressure on us. It is certainly not a new story, so I am very disappointed. But I can state quite categorically that we will not be pressurised or bullied by anyone.
"We will deal with things the right way for our football club. I can assure supporters that nobody will leave this club unless the deal is right for us and every other option has been exhausted."
