Tottenham join Man City in the race for wantaway Blackburn striker Santa Cruz

Tottenham have stepped up their interest in signing Roque Santa Cruz this summer.The Blackburn striker is desperate to leave Ewood Park at the end of the season to join a bigger club and Manchester City were leading the chase.But Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has identified the Paraguay star as the man to spearhead his attack next season, according to The Guardian.
