Shrimpers boss rues penalty call

Pawson awarded Oldham a controversial penalty that was converted by Neal Eardley, and although Lee Barnard equalised for the Essex club, it was not enough to keep their top-six hopes alive."There's no way that was a penalty, I don't know why it was given," fumed the Shrimpers boss."It was very disappointing and I couldn't see Oldham scoring any other way but we reacted very well to falling behind."It wasn't a great game and I spent part of the second half watching our fans do the conga but we scored a good goal with a cool finish."The important thing now is to end with a win and try to finish in eighth place."
