O'Neill - We needed second goal

Martin O'Neill blamed Aston Villa's failure to kill off the game for the 1-1 draw at Bolton. Villa had taken the lead at the Reebok when Ashley Young's cross-cum shot found the back of the net, but Tamir Cohen's 60th minute strike saw both teams take a share of the spoils."It was a tough physical game, but we expected that," O'Neill told Sky Sports."I thought we tried, but it was very difficult to get it down and play today, I thought we tried to do that."[We] got in front just before half-time which I thought we deserved on the balance of play."Bolton scored just at a time I thought that we were in pretty well decent control of the game - you never are of course unless you [have a] two or three goal advantage.Second goal"I felt we started the second-half pretty brightly and got possession of the ball and we obviously needed that second goal but it wasn't to be."Both Young and Gabriel Agbonlahor have been earmarked for the PFA Young Player of the Year award and O'Neill had praise for Saturday's goalscorer."He [Young] has been magnificent, he has been voted for, he is certainly in the six for the PFA award and he's deserved it. I think he has had a sensational season."When asked how he feels about having two players nominated for the award O'Neill added: "I am delighted, absolutely."I think I can take some reflective glory in all of that but great credit to the two of them, there are in the mix and in with the possibility of winning it."I hope one of the two wins the award but overall both have had fantastic seasons."
