Zola agrees Hammers deal

West Ham have confirmed to Sky Sports News that manager Gianfranco Zola has agreed terms on a new contract. Chief executive Scott Duxbury has told Sky Sports that four-year deals have been agreed with Zola and his assistant Steve Clarke.Duxbury stated that the contracts should be signed within the next 48 hours.The news will be a huge boost and relief to The Hammers and their fans, with some reports claiming the talks had stalled in recent days.Zola and Clarke have turned West Ham's season around after taking over from Alan Curbishley in September.The Hammers are currently seventh in the Premier League - a position which would secure them a place in Europe.
