Ledley named in Celtic tour squad

Joe Ledley has been included in the Celtic squad for the trip to the United States as the Cardiff midfielder waits to finalise his future. The Wales international is out of contract at Cardiff City and appears poised for a move to Celtic after also attracting interest from Stoke City. The 23-year-old was offered a contract by Stoke, but held talks with Celtic earlier in the week regarding a switch to Parkhead. The lack of an official announcement prompted suggestions that Ledley's proposed transfer to the Old Firm giants had stalled, but an agreement now appears to be close.Celtic's chief executive Peter Lawwell said: "You can be very confident about Joe Ledley coming to Celtic Football Club."Ledley could be confirmed as a Bhoys player within the next 24 hours after he was named in the squad for the pre-season tour of the USA.The Celtic squad fly out on Monday and are due to face Major League Soccer side Philadelphia Union in midweek.Philadelphia have been given a list of Celtic players available for the friendly and Ledley has been included in Neil Lennon's plans.
