Rovers held in stifling heat

Blackburn were held to a goalless draw against Sturm Graz in their opening pre-season friendly in Austria. Rovers have completed a week of intense high altitude training in the Austrian Alps and ended their trip with a hard-fought stalemate in sweltering conditions. Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson pulled off an outstanding one-handed save to deny Imre Szabics in the first half, while Maceo Rigters went close with an overhead kick for Blackburn at the other end. Sam Allardyce's squad will fly home in time for another week of training at Brockhall before a clash with Fleetwood next weekend.
