Hendon aims to avoid survival fight

The former Sheffield Wednesday defender has earned himself a two-year deal at Underhill after leading the club away from the League Two drop zone since taking charge on a temporary basis in January. And after witnessing his men lose just four times in their last 15 outings, the 37-year-old is hoping they can transfer that form over to next season."I'm not going to start making predictions but first and foremost lets get 50 points on the board next season," he said."The sooner we do that the better. I say 50 points because normally that's safety. That's not a negative way of looking at it, that's just how it is. If we get there by Christmas then happy days."Then we can re-assess as we go. I want the team up the table. I don't want to be fighting a relegation battle. We want a progression on what we have done towards the end of this season, that's what we're looking for."
