Smith: Low crowd is disappointing

The Scottish Cup semi-final match at the 52,000-capacity national stadium is set to be attended by less than 14,000 fans. The SFA have been criticised for holding semi-finals at Hampden when there is so little demand for tickets but both Falkirk and Dunfermline were offered the chance to switch the game elsewhere. It is thought Tynecastle was one option and Smith said in the Scottish Sun: "Both clubs agreed on the game going ahead at Hampden. It is disappointing to be looking at the possibility of such a low crowd."The figure of less than 14,000 is below the expectation of both clubs when we had the initial talks."Tynecastle's capacity is around 18,000 and would arguably have provided a better atmosphere.
