Ormerod will come face-to-face with former employers on Saturday, with Forest still not safe from relegation despite taking seven points from their last three games.
And despite the 32-year-old sympathising with the City Ground outfit, who he helped to promotion just a year ago, Blackpool, who are still not mathematically safe themselves, will be his number one priority come kick-off.
"I had some great times there last year," he told the Blackpool Gazette.
"I spent the last couple of months there, we went up and I did really well.
"It's a fantastic football club and they are another club who unfortunately find themselves at the wrong end of the Championship.
"But I am just concentrating on Blackpool and helping try to keep them in this league."
