Lambert laments U's form at home
The U's have lost an astonishing 11 of 22 games at the Weston Homes Community Stadium this season - a record that is worse than three of the four teams in the relegation places.Lambert admitted that their impressive away form - which continued with a 2-0 victory at Hereford on Saturday - is the principle reason the club is in a comfortable mid-table position."The away form has been terrific", Lambert told the Colchester Gazette."If we had won half our home games, we'd probably be right up there but we haven't."That's basically what's cost us but the main objective was to keep this football club in the league, which I was instructed to do".
