Digard gets second-string role with a view to boosting Boro's survival bid

The former Paris St Germain player makes his first start since suffering a severe leg injury in a challenge from Wigan's Lee Cattermole at the Riverside almost two months ago. Digard had knee, hamstring and groin problems and was expected to be out for the season, but was on the bench against Fulham on Saturday. The France Under 21 international is one of a number of first-team players making an appearance for Martin Scott's reserves team when they take on Manchester City at the Riverside tonight (Tuesday).
