Bluebirds face another court date

Cardiff are confident of avoiding another winding-up order from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs. The Bluebirds will be due in court on August 11, three days into the new season, unless the debt of around £1.3million is settled. Chief executive Gethin Jenkins told the club's official website: "As is normal procedure, if PAYE isn't paid then HMRC are fully entitled to lodge a petition. "Cardiff City Football Club fully expect to pay monies owed in the forthcoming week, following which the petition will naturally be withdrawn. "This hurdle all forms part of the ongoing process of getting the club on a sound business and financial footing."
