Aldershot have signed defender Jamie Vincent on a one-year deal.
The 35-year-old had originally accepted an offer to stay with Walsall but was granted permission to leave to be nearer his family.
Vincent told the club`s official website: "I spoke to Walsall earlier in the week and suggested that I wanted to sign for a club nearer to where my family is based.
"Aldershot had expressed an interest and I am delighted to have signed for the club.
"I have enjoyed every moment at every club I have played for and I am looking forward to meeting the squad next week."
Manager Kevin Dillon said: "He is at an age now where his experience will be important and the vital factor is that he has always looked after himself. He flew through the medical."
