Boss hails in-form Shrimps side

The Shrimpers have lost just one of their last 16 games, and although McIlroy thinks it will be a tough ask to make the top seven, he is full of admiration for his players. The former Northern Ireland boss said: "The lads have been absolutely magnificent, of course you need a wee bit of luck, but the run has been fantastic."We haven't made any changes in the side so that's been a reason, but results bring confidence and we're just very confident at the moment, without being over confident."The inspired form in the second half of the season has seen chairman Peter McGuigan claim that McIlroy should be named League Two's manager of the season."I think that was tongue in cheek from the chairman," McIlroy added. "He is an ambitious man and the relationship we have is good."
