Ricky Sbragia wants more from Sunderland

Sbragia's relegation-threatened side were only denied a point against the Premier League pacesetters thanks to Federico Macheda's late goal in a 2-1 defeat on Wearside last Saturday and the Scot wants another spirited display when Phil Brown's side visit. "We are encouraged by the performance last weekend against Manchester United but we've got to do it against Hull now," Sbragia said.  Related ArticlesRedknapp still keen on JonesDo or die for SunderlandFerguson: Macheda specialManchester United back on top as Federico Macheda sinks SunderlandRicky Sbragia: My Sunderland job is on lineSteven Taylor issues Newcastle rallying cry ahead of Arsenal at St Jamess Park "It can't just be a one-off; we need to continue that level. We need to come out with a better result, obviously, but in general we need to keep tight and together, keep focused and committed, and show plenty of desire. "We did that against Manchester United, now it's time to do it again. It's a must-win situation and we know how big the game is going to be for us." Sunderland are currently two points and one place above the Premier League relegation zone and Hull are just two points and two places above their next opponents. "We know Hull will be very difficult opponents but if we play to our potential we will have enough to get something from the game. "We know this is a different game and different opposition. We cannot afford to take them lightly. We must have the same focus we had against Manchester United. Sbragia's cause may be boosted by the return of Kieran Richardson against Hull on Saturday after the former United midfielder Richardson missed out on a reunion with his old team-mates after sustaining a calf injury in training. Skipper Dean Whitehead, who also missed the United game, could also return to action after overcoming a calf problem but defender George McCartney, another calf injury victim, will not be fit to face the Tigers.
