Pavlyuchenko gets nod from Redknapp as Bent edges towards Spurs exit door

Roman Pavlyuchenko is a big part of Tottenham boss Harry  Redknapp's plans for next season, according to the striker's agent. And Victor Kolar, whose Czech-based company was instrumental in arranging Pavlyuchenko's transfer from Spartak Moscow last summer, claims Darren Bent will be the only striker leaving White Hart Lane. 'Roman is not in the situation to be thinking about moving clubs - he is close to complete in his adaptation to England,' said Kolar, whose Czech-based company was instrumental in arranging for Pavlyuchenko's transfer from Spartak Moscow last year. 'He has bought a house in London. Both he and his wife like living there. And his manager says he wants to see him in the team next season. 'As far as I can judge, Tottenham may sell only one of their forwards and it is Darren Bent.'  Kolar admitted that Pavlyuchenko became stressed when Spurs changed managers (with Harry Redknapp replacing Juande Ramos last October) in mid-season and insisted the striker's Russia team-mate Andrey Arshavin benefited from having a more settled situation when he moved to Arsenal. 'Arshavin's situation is very different from that of Pavlyuchenko,' added Kolar. 'In England, Arshavin has to play the same kind of game he was used to in Russia - fast and technical, one-touch football.     'He also doesn't have to adjust to a new manager. Changing of a manager in the middle of a season is always a stress for players.' Pavlyuchenko's personal agent in Russia, Oleg Artemov, admitted he is worried about his compatriot not getting enough first-team football - but he also believes that all the 27-year-old needs is time.     'Naturally I do not like the situation when he spends several games on the bench," Artemov told a newspaper in Russia.     'I'm coming to London soon to talk to Harry Redknapp about it. But in my opinion quite a lot about his situation in the club is over-dramatised. Like his language problem. 'Redknapp was joking of course when he said that in training he has to have an interpreter running behind Roman on the pitch.     'Yes, studying English is not easy for him but he does make progress. By now he understands almost everything and has started speaking a bit.'
