Cardiff have struck an agreement with Aston Villa to keep Stuart Taylor for the rest of the season.
The goalkeeper joined the Bluebirds on a one-month loan deal in March and was due to return to Villa after Monday's 3-1 victory over Burnley.
However, he has now extended his stay in the Welsh capital after an impressive initial stint.
Taylor has established himself as Dave Jones' first-choice shot-stopper and played a key role in the club's push for promotion.
Cardiff are currently fourth in the Championship table with four games remaining and are almost certain to secure at least a play-off berth.
Taylor would be available to play in the play-offs as the new arrangement will see him remain with Cardiff until 31st May.
The 28-year-old hinted last week that he would be open to joining Cardiff on a permanent contract.
